Coronavirus COVID-19 daily numbers seem to be falling. However, Canadian health officials are becoming increasingly concerned about the presence of 2 coronavirus variants. A variant first found in the U.K. has been confirmed in three provinces while a variant first discovered in South Africa variant has been found in two provinces.
The new Covid-19 variant from UK could be more deadly. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned Friday that a coronavirus variant first detected in the country in September may be around 30% more deadly than previous versions of the disease.
