Canada says vaccine rollout still on track despite Pfizer delays

Global News has the top story: The federal government says Canada's inoculation plan is still on track, despite delays in Pfizer-BioNTech’s vaccine shipments. As Eric Sorensen explains, Pfizer's push to stretch the number of doses per vial is adding to complications.

The Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic is a global health threat. Covid-19 Vaccines are safe, effective and the best way to protect you and those around you from serious illnesses like COVID-19.

Useful vaccines work with your immune system so your body will be ready to fight the virus if you are exposed. This can reduce your risk of developing COVID-19 and make your symptoms milder if you do get it.

Canada's vaccine supply will not arrive all at once, so distribution will happen in stages.

For full vaccination, the vaccines approved for use require 2 doses, administered a few weeks apart.
