Ontario preparing to enter province-wide lockdown

Global News shows that Ontarians will face a strict new lockdown right after Christmas. The Ontario province wants to be in control of the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic situation.

Canada has joined a growing list of countries banning travel to and from the United Kingdom, in an effort to keep out a more contagious strain of COVID-19. Some experts point out that these orders may have come too late.

Certain things will be allowed and not allowed under Ontario's provincewide lockdown.

The Ontario lockdown will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 26 and remain in place until at least Jan. 23, 2021, for the 27 public health unit regions in southern Ontario.

In the province's north, where daily case numbers have been significantly lower, the lockdown is set to expire on Jan. 9.
