Brazil’s coronavirus deaths pass 150,000 as infection rate slows


The number of deaths linked to COVID-19 in Brazil has passed 150,000, the second-highest toll in the world. President Jair Bolsonaro has been downplaying the virus, although he even contracted it. Efforts to curb the spread of the virus were being made. However, scientists fear that Brazil is only in its first wave and a second wave is coming in the future.
