Here is an interesting explanation of why Apple manufactures in China.
ReplyDeleteIf you take a look at the back of your iPhone, iPad, or any Apple product you have, you’ll quickly see the words "Assembled in China."
There is certainly an explanation about why Apple has chosen to outsource all of its production overseas, specifically to China.
Some people wonder why can’t Apple’s gadgets be assembled in the United States of America.
China can sure support Apple’s high demands.
"iPhones aren’t manufactured in America because they simply can’t be. Put simply there’s not enough manpower to support the manufacturing of Apple’s products."
The massive factory in China where Apple products, specifically iPhones, undergo final assembly has approximately 230,000 workers. It seems that the number of possible successful workers in the USA is not enough to cover Apple’s needs. China sure has a large number of available workers.
In China, an estimated quarter of their workforce lives in so-called company-owned dormitories. These homes are located on factory property. In this situation, many people are living and working at the factory. Such jobs are in high demand in China. Many people are successfully hired.
It seems that China is the best fit for Apple. Apple’s decision to outsource its manufacturing to China is really about who can build the most number of Apple products within the shortest amount of time.
Apple is profiting and reaping the financial rewards of this workforce situation. China certainly has an abundance of hard-working people with the right needed skills.
