Ukraine coronavirus death toll is 514



This is the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation in Ukraine: 514 dead, 18,291 cases, 433 new infections. 5,116 patients in Ukraine have recovered.

Chernivtsi Oblast in western Ukraine remains for now the area that's most affected by the disease. It has 2,694 confirmed cases.

The other most affected areas are the city of Kyiv with 2,280 cases and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast with 1,210 cases.

These numbers indicate the total cases confirmed since the beginning of the pandemic, not just active ones.

Ukraine has been identifying about 400 to 600 new COVID-19 cases per day for more than three weeks.

Ukraine started reducing some of the quarantine restrictions on May 12.

  1. Here's another interesting news article about when Ukraine's borders will be opened.

    Ukraine's border may be opened one month after other European countries take such measures themselves. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
