Peru coronavirus death toll is 2,169

Peru's coronavirus death toll has reached 2,169. Peru's total number of confirmed virus cases reached 76,306. Peru is certainly suffering one of the worst outbreaks in the Americas. Peru’s coronavirus outbreak is peaking high after setting a daily record of 4,200 new cases, President Martin Vizcarra said. The President said, "Peru has already reached the top, the peak, and is starting a slow decline."

The country sure put in a big effort to slow the spread of the virus. About two thirds of the economic activity were brought to a halt.
