In May 2020, thousands of soldiers marched in Belarus as part of the Victory Day parade commemorating 75 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe. There was no lockdown of this event amid the Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic. Belarus has opposed lockdown measures.
The Coronavirus situation in Belarus is improving steadily, however this is not the time to "relax." Steps are being taken to reduce the death toll.
